Catch Me If You Can presents a red ball as an easily recognisable motif for play. The sculpture evokes the movement of the ball, elusive and disappearing behind the simple play forms, and viewers have an opportunity to ‘find their play’ through an augmented reality experience. Taking inspiration from the location's iconic cinema heritage, the installations celebrate the act of shared experience by inviting visitors to play together. Returning free play to the heart of the West End, we aimed to reignite the imaginations of both tourists and local communities. Imagination is the most important tool for the hardest challenges our society faces today. Our future is brighter if we play together more.
