ENGINE: Curatorial Development Programme is all about helping emerging creatives grow their skills while exploring fresh, innovative approaches to public art commissioning.

This programme offers a supportive and collaborative environment, co-designed with participants, to help them develop as creative freelancers. Along the way, they’ll gain hands-on experience in curatorial practice, community engagement, and the full process of delivering public art. They’ll also have the chance to co-found a new, shared creative studio—a space to grow ideas and make lasting connections.

At its heart, this project is about long-term impact. By focusing on local talent at the early stages of their careers, we're aiming to build something that lasts—creating opportunities not just for the participants, but for the wider community to continue collaborating beyond the life of the project.

What we’re aiming for:

  • Meaningful collaboration with local communities

  • New approaches to public art commissioning

  • Real opportunities for skill-building and professional growth

  • An exciting new creative outcome in the Kenilworth Greenway area.
